# Lesson 14

In the fourteenth lesson we will learn a new question word, "how" 怎么 zěnme and the frequently used question 怎么样 zěnmeyàng, which can be translated as "how's it going?" or "how about...?" depending on the context.

## How's it going? - concept introduction dialogue

李雪":" 你怎么样？ Nǐ zěnmeyàng?

王军":" 不错。你呢？ Bú cuò. Nǐ ne?

李雪":" 我也不错。明天见。 Wǒ yě bú cuò. Míngtiān jiàn.

王军":" 明天见。 Míngtiān jiàn.

### Notes:

怎么 ''zěnme'' is the question, together with 样 ''yàng'' it forms a question expression that asks for a description.

Remember that in Mandarin Chinese the question word goes in the same place that the answer goes.
