<p>Note that the clause used after <span class="hanzi">即使</span> must be hypothetical, otherwise <span class="hanzi">虽然</span> should be used.</p>

<p>In the sentence above, it being rush hour is not a hypothetical statement, so it is incorrect to use <span class="hanzi">即使</span>.</p>
