| Kong Lingmin 孔令民 painted this miniature kite on silk in the 1980s. It is about 12 centimeters. Although there are only three bats, they still stand for happiness and the peaches for longevity. In the story of the Monkey King when the Monkey was in the heavenly palace he saw a garden of peach trees laden with fruit. They gave longevity. It is traditional for children to bring peaches to their parents' birthday celebrations. |
