| Leng Shixiang 冷世祥 painted this kite in the 1980s. It is painted on silk and measures 70 by 146 centimeters. The word for crab shell in Chinese "jia" is the same as the word for achieving first place in the imperial examinations "jia" 甲. Thus, the crab symbolizes status, excellence, and prosperity. |
