| The god in the center of the San Qing Temple is Yuqing Yuanshi 玉清元始天尊 (Yùqīng Yuánshǐ Tiānzūn). When a new world is created this god comes down to teach the Dao, or the Way. He gives off a jade green qi.
He is considered to be the primary god. The three gods together are the source of Dao, and together are the most important of the gods of Daoism. |
