The tree of lights to the left of Guan Yin's altar contains small images of Guan Yin. The way it works in other temples I've visited is that you can buy a bulb with an offering which will stay lit until it burns out. It may not be the same custom in this temple. There seemed to be only a general offering box, the monks may simply keep the tree lit for all the people who offer prayers. |
