These vegetables weren't snacks, they were on display. The fellow was demonstrating a slicer-dicer! I felt right at home. For years there was a guy doing the same thing in the big Woolworth's on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. He could make a Cuisinart look slow, but if you tried it yourself... a knife was faster.
