This is what vegetables should look like. The fluorescent lights in supermarkets just can't do them justice. The vegetables in markets like these are often fresher and will last longer than those bought at the local chain store.

When I was in Bangkok a tour guide pointed out the Chinese market and said that everyone went there because you could get the best fruit and vegetables. Food is important to the Chinese and they want only the best, she explained.
