These are dried haw 山楂干 (shānzhāgàn), a fruit of the Hawthorn tree. If you don't want to eat them coated with sugar on a stick, you can eat them dry and still get their benefits. They are said to be good for high blood pressure, coronary heart disease and digestion. You can make a tea with them, but beware, they are very sour! |
