Front gate of the Temple Fair at Ditan 地坛

The crowds arriving, as I left in the afternoon, were so large that you couldn't get near the "picture tree". Many people come for lunch and then stay on for dinner, walking around the park and playing games in between. People coming from other parts of China plan to make a day of it. This is their celebration of Spring Festival.
