Chickens

Beyond the farmyard, a path leads to the chicken coop. Most farmers keep chickens for eggs and meat. The chickens are in a hurry to get to the corn the farmer threw out so I could get a picture. They had been under their coop. This was the year of bird flu, but small isolated flocks like this weren't affected.
