Bundling Twigs

One of the first tasks is to collect twigs that have fallen off trees. Trees are also trimmed of excess branches. Tree growth is kept in check because they need a lot more water if they get too big. In the cities you will see trees whose major limbs have been cut and the new growth coming from the stumps. Even in the cities, the wood is not wasted. Some of it will be sent into the countryside to be used as you see here. Some is used for compost to make fertilizer.
