| Once inside, spectators were guided to the tents where they could get the free souvenirs that accompanied their tickets, or to the proper entrance for their ticket, or to the bathroom.
All over Beijing there were volunteers manning tables and booths to guide the lost visitor to the proper place. They had maps, schedules, and even water for emergencies. They weren't just stationed near the venues, but near major bus stops, subway lines, shopping areas, and hotels. The larger booths had people who could speak French, English, German, Russian, or Japanese - depending on the area. |
