Flowers - Album leaves
Wu Changshuo 吴昌硕 (1844-1927) originally named Jun 俊 and later changed to Junqing 俊卿, but is primarily known by his
designated name, Changshuo 昌硕, which he used as his name after the age of 70. He was a native of Anji, Zhejiang province but
moved to Shanghai. Peonies lend themselves particularly well to the softer boneless style.
These album leaves were completed in 1905 at the end of the Qing Dynasty when Wu Changshuo was 62.
