The Xi'an Bell Tower is now the home of one of the offices dedicated to preservation and research into the history of Xi'an and Shaanxi Province. At various times the tower was used as the offices of the telephone company, a movie theater, a planetarium, a meteorlogical substation, and even a prison. There is a lot of space within the tower.
