| Above and below are images of a sacrificial site found at the Banpo Neolithic site. A short stone column (2.62 feet or .8 meters tall) was also found in the area. The jars contain what are believed to be the remains of the sacrifice. It is assumed to be sacrifice since the contents of the jars were not consumed and were arranged in two pits in small jars at the site. |
