Outside the Ancient Beijing Observatory

Once on the outskirts of Beijing surrounded by farms, the observatory is now in one of the busiest areas of the city. It is a short walk from the embassy district and well worth the visit. There is a bridge over the expressway behind the Gloria Plaza Hotel.
