Yu Yuan 豫园
Restaurant near Yu Garden, Shanghai

To the west of the Bund in Shanghai there is an area that takes you back to the Ming Dynasty and beyond. The area surrounds the Yu Garden, built during the Ming Dynasty. Many of the buildings are only 30 or 40 years old, some were finished yesterday. It doesn't matter. The area creates a much better setting for the Yu Garden than would concrete block buildings. The Chinese restaurant pictured above caters to the thousands of tourists who visit the area each week.
