| To reach the main gate of Yu Yuan, you must cross a zigzag bridge so you don't bring evil spirits with you. Again, most of the buildings you can see in this picture are later additions to serve the tourism industry. The city of Shanghai has done a good job of trying to maintain the tone of the site and avoiding glitz. |
