Sakyamuni - Tang Dynasty

Buddha Sakyamuni sitting with a Bodhisattva standing to either side. A Bodhisattva is one who
vows to help others in their search for enlightenment. The kneeling
figures to the front are donors, a man and a woman, with palms together.
The painting probably dates from the mid-Tang period.
