Ni Tian 倪田 (1855-1919), was called Baotian 宝田 when he was born, but shortened it to Tian 田. He is
also known by his designated name Mogeng 墨耕 and his literary name Modaoren 默道人 .
Ni Tian was a native of Jiangdu, Jiangsu provice but lived in Shanghai. He was adept in color
paintings of flowers, birds and animals, and occasionally landscapes.
This album was completed in 1890 at the end of the Qing Dynasty when he was 36 years old.
