Gilded Bronze Door Knocker
鎏金铜铺首

This bronze door knocker received a coating of gold, indicating that it graced the door of a wealthy merchant or noble. It dates to the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - 25 AD). It was excavated at a site in Yan'an, Shaanxi Province in 1973.
