This object has the characteristics of a deer, a horse, a bit of donkey, and additional birds and beasts are included in the antlers and tail. It is 4.53 inches tall (11.5 cm). It dates to the Han Dynasty period (206 BC - 220 AD). It was found in 1976 at a site in Shenmu County. It is probably a product of the Xiongnu culture that occupied the Shenmu area. The Xiongnu were considered to be very fierce by the Chinese, there is no record of how fierce they considered the Qin, their near neighbors, to be. |
