Pottery Dragon - Funerary Object

This pottery dragon from the Yuan Dynasty (1271 - 1368) was used as a burial object. The dragon is in the form often used for roof decorations on the corners of the eaves of tiled roofs. It was excavated from a tomb in Huijia Village, Xi'an.
