Visual Attention

Visual Attention by Ronald Hübner is a small Windows based program which will let you explore several effects. Once you choose a demonstration, if can click on Help/Description you will find one or two references for the effect.
 
Visual Search for the Odd Item
What type of stimuli attract attention?  How do we scan the visual field?  Some of the stimuli included are:
Bitmap
Plus-Minus
TL
Motion
Elipse
Curvature
Stroop
This is a simple example of the Stroop effect.  You might want to take a look at it to get an idea of the possible variations on the Stroop.

Negative Priming
Includes both a neutral and negative demonstration.  Priming is one of the methods for changing expectations and thus perception.
