# Plan — next steps (theia-ide base, Theia 1.77)

Status: app shell re-based on eclipse-theia/theia-ide (full extension
set minus AI, Theia 1.77.0-next.47, Electron 44). Pascal/Oberon parked
in `attic/` (code, examples); Modula-2 only in the product. Browser
bundle + Electron AppImage/deb build clean; packaged Electron app
smoke-tested to `ready` with screenshot. Previous state preserved on
branch `archive/theia-1.75-baseline`.

## Done since the last plan

- v0.32–v0.44: Electron fixes; Coco/R validator pilots for all
  Pascal/Oberon dialects (0 FP/0 miss vs oracles); LSP wiring with
  degenerate-generation guard; plugin split per language.
- v0.45.0: Pascal native extensions (compiler with fpc+Blaise
  backends, debug, workbench); `oberon-compiler`/`oberon-debug`/
  `oberon-workbench` (voc+ulmo, GDB, theming).
- v0.46.0: Pascal/Oberon LSP parity (definition, references, rename,
  formatting, semantic tokens, diagnostics, settings, snippets,
  schemas); `pascal-project`/`oberon-project` wizards + explorers;
  TextMate grammars; `PARITY.md`. Porting fixes: parser body-skip
  loop, O(n²) lexer, dotted type names.
- Post-release: plugins 0.1.6, trilingual `TUTORIAL.md`,
  `hello-pascal`/`hello-oberon` examples (both build-verified),
  fixed invalid `examples/hello/.vscode/launch.json`.

## Next, in priority order

1. **Modula-2 correctness testing** — exercise the Modula-2-only
   product end to end (diagnostics squiggles, build/run/debug,
   project wizard) and fix what surfaces.
2. **Re-enable Pascal/Oberon** — move back from `attic/`, rewire
   workspaces/apps/scripts, rebuild (blocked on Modula-2 working).
3. **Push commits + tags to `origin`** (all local so far) — user action.
4. **Coco/R differential** — differential testing of the Coco/R
   grammar path against `gm2` (long-standing item).

- Publish vsix packages (needs user credentials).
