# Modula-2 Language Support GNU Modula-2 language support for VS Code and Theia: syntax highlighting for `.mod`/`.def`, snippets, auto-uppercasing, Outline, hover, go-to-definition, references, rename, formatting and semantic tokens — backed by a Coco/R-validated language server (`gm2` grammar) plus always-on local analysis. ## Requirements Editing features work out of the box. External validator diagnostics need a Coco/R validator binary (see `COCOR-LSP.md`) configured via `modula2.cocoR.validatorCommand`; `gm2`, `gdb` and `readelf` remain host prerequisites for compiling and debugging. ## Settings - `modula2.uppercaseKeywords` — uppercase keywords while typing. - `modula2.format.*` — formatter rules (indent, keyword case, spacing). - `modula2.cocoR.validatorCommand` / `validatorArguments` — external Coco/R validator.
