    <p>Note: Verbs such as <span class="pinyin">chéng</span> <span class="hanzi">成</span>, <span class="pinyin">wéi</span> <span class="hanzi">为</span>, <span class="pinyin">zuò</span> <span class="hanzi">作</span> or <span class="pinyin">zuò</span> <span class="hanzi">做</span> following the predicate verb take an object to indicate how the direct object has been transformed, regarded, compared, labeled, judged and so on. They all require the <span class="pinyin">bǎ</span> <span class="hanzi">把</span> construction. A common error students tend to make is to forget to use the <span class="pinyin">bǎ</span> <span class="hanzi">把</span> construction.</p></li>
