  71. instance, if you see a friend of yours standing there, you might

  112. particle</span> <span class="hanzi">着</span> <span class=
  113. "english">zhe</span> <span class="english">. Another difference
  114. between the above sentence and the sentence pattern of the
  115. progressive aspect is that the word</span> <span class=
  116. "hanzi">在</span> <span class="english">zài</span> <span class=
  117. "english">here is a co-verb which means to be in (classroom) and
  118. it is not part of the elements that are used in the progressive
  119. aspect.</span></p>
  120. <p><span class="english">3. V +</span> <span class=
  121. "hanzi">着</span> <span class="english">zhe</span> <span class=
  122. "english">can also be used to describe how an action is carried
  123. out with another action. For instance,</span></p>
