  99. indicates that the action of learning is still going on. Without
  100. the end-of-sentence <span class="hanzi">了</span> <span>le</span>
  101. <span class="english">it means that the action of learning has
  102. been completed.</span></p>
  103. <p>2. The modal particle <span class="hanzi">了</span>
  104. <span class="english">le</span> is used as a sentence component
  105. to indicate that an action is about to take place. The other
  106. components used in this type of sentence pattern are <span class=
