In this lesson we will learn some simple instructions to give while riding in a taxi cab.

去太原街和中华路十字路口。Qù Tàiyuán Jiē hé Zhōnghuá Lù shízì lùkǒu Go to the intersection of Taiyuan Street and Han Chinese Road.

去友谊路和中央大街十字路口。Qù Yǒuyì Lù hé Zhōngyāng Dàjiē shízì lùkǒu. Go to the intersection of Friendship Road and Central Street.

Notes:

Turning involves using a prepositional phrase, following the pattern :(direction) + 拐 ''guǎi''. There are three prepositions that can go before this construction, but it is perfectly fine to omit them, which we will for the time being.
