White Tiger
白虎

The image of the white tiger as a constellation was found in a grave site dating to around 5300 BC in the Xishuipo Puyang site in Henan Province. The Neolithic grave may have belonged to a king. The four constellations are arranged around the tomb marking the four directions. Each of the animals is portrayed using arrangements of stones. For more information about constellations and related topics see Chinese Astronomy on this web site.
