The image of the white tiger as a constellation was found in a grave site dating to around 5300 BC in the Xishuipo Puyang site in Henan Province. The Neolithic grave may have belonged to a king. The four constellations are arranged around the tomb marking the four directions. Each of the animals is portrayed using arrangements of stones.
