The kangaroo, 袋鼠 (dàishǔ), is not an endangered species. It is quite successful in Australia and is even hunted for its meat. Other than humans, it has few natural predators. Kangaroos are a herd animal, taveling in troops, courts, or mobs. The words are used synonymously. You can't tell it from this picture, but kangaroos can travel up to 45 miles per hour. |
