Play time at Shepherd's Field

I brought along some balloons and after the children had played with their usual toys for awhile, I asked if it would be OK to introduce the balloons. Lots of huffing and puffing, but each time another one was ready, the kids reached out and started to play with it. The games they invented were many and varied. Mostly, they bounced them into the air.
