They have lived here their entire married life. They are in their eighties now and going strong. Their children have lives in the city with all the modern conveniences. Their children have careers, they are no longer farmers. In the mountains, farming is a very personal affair. You can't get big harvesters into the fields, you can't even reach some of the best fields except by foot and donkey. There are still couples with children in the village, but as the economy changes it will get harder and harder to make enough from these farms to make a living. |
