Needles

Bone needles were probably used by the Neolithic people at Banpo to sew clothing, to attach decorations to clothing, and to make necklaces of shells and teeth. No cloth was found at the Banpo site, but other Neolithic sites have found cloth, even small pieces of silk cloth. The small holes in the needles indicate that they were able to make fine line in addition to the rope that is evidenced by the rope imprints used to decorate pottery.
