The Corridor for Approaching the Best Scenery (Jiàn Rù Jia Jìng) entices one with vase shaped gates framing successive views of scholar's rocks and artful greenery. The vase itself is a symbol of plenty in Chinese culture, much like the cornucopia in Western culture. The path winds so that each vase gives you a glimpse of the next, but teases you forward for a better view. |
