Meiyang Bronze Weight with Inscription

Meiyang was northwest of Chang'an, present day Xi'an and capital of the Qin dynasty. One of the achievements of the Qin emperor
Shi Huangdi was that he standardized weights and measures throughout his territory. This action helped to unify the country, strengthen
commerce and contributed to the success of the next dynasty -- the Han Dynasty.
