| This statue of an Arhat with a tiger was part of the collection of statues at the Boshan Temple, Zhiluo Town, Fu County. The Arhat Pindola tamed a tiger by giving him a meal of vegetarian fare every night. The tiger was tamed and became the protector of the Arhats. This statue dates to the Song Dynasty (960 - 1127 AD). |
