Woman's Gown

Women of the upper classes were well educated and had the right of ownership, great independence, and in the case of Empress Wu, even ruled the nation. Of course, she was vilified by historians to prevent such a shocking occurrence again, but she still managed it. Overall, she doesn't seem to have been any better or worse than her male contemporaries.
