									<font size="-1" color="white" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">The interior of the arrow tower is comprised of open beam construction. There are three galleries running along the outside walls, providing access to the arrow holes or embrasures. The wood was vulnerable to fire, so there were sand and water buckets at hand to douse fires before they could spread. The most vulnerable area was the roof. Cannon bulls could and di punch enough holes in the roof to make it collapse and allow the delivery of incendaries. A fire in the high rafters would drop flaming debris onto the troops. The open design would minimize the size of the fire, but once it took hold the galleries would have to be abandonned. </font></div>
