							<td><font size="-1" color="white" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">The ticket lines and security checks were designed to handle the largest crowds quickly. This was taken early, but quite a few people had already arrived. There would have been about 20 minutes of rush just before the games began, but if you avoided that, there would have been no lines. The plan was to have people stand in line no more than five minutes. They beat that. Most venues were able to handle the crowds just as well. At some of the larger stadiums the lines got longer than planned, not as many people arrived early as was estimated, or too many dignitaries arrived at once.</font>
								<p><font size="-1" color="white" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">The curved building in the background is one of the new buildings at Beijing University of Technology. The new gymnasium is just one of about 10 new buildings completed over the past 8 years.</font></p>
