It's called a secondary burial by archaeologists. This is not the usual practice among the Banpo. Perhaps the original grave was uncovered during a flood and the bones were buried again. If it were an old unidentified grave, it would explain the break with the traditional position of the body. The bones are carefully placed, not tossed into a pit. On the other hand, no additional burial pots were added to the grave, but perhaps there weren't any in the original grave. There are many other scenarios that are possible; that's what make anomalies fun. </font>
