If you are living in the Neolithic Era, there are no handy scissors to keep it in check.  To keep it out of the way, it would be twisted to either the top of the head or nape of the neck and secured with one or more of these hairpins.  </font>
								<p><font size="-1" color="white" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Although no combs were shown at Banpo, other Neolithic sites in both <a href="http://www.heritage.go.kr/eng/mus/unv_03.jsp">Korea</a> (scroll down half-way on the link) and <a href="http://www.twmuseums.org.uk/archaeology/Prehistoric%20Pottery%20Project/dating-prehistoric_pottery_in_NE-Neo%26BA.html" target="_blank">Britain</a> show pottery decorated with comb patterns. Combs were an aid to remove lice and other varmints from the hair. </font></p>
