							<td><font size="-1" color="white" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">The early estimates were that there were 7000 warriors, more recent estimates place that number closer to 8000. The immediate wonder was that each of the warriors was unique. The shape of the face, the facial features, facial hair, and the hairstyles were those of individuals, not groups. </font>
								<p><font size="-1" color="white" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">As the archaeologists uncovered more and more of the site they found that the warriors had been arrayed in ranks and were separated by bulwarks of pounded earth. A roof supported by beams of whole logs and covered by earth protected the warriors but also crushed them. Amazingly, many of the warriors were intact. It took infinite patience and scientific examination to reconstruct the rest. The work is not yet complete and perhaps will not be complete in our lifetime.</font></p>
