							<td><font size="-1" color="white" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">One of the questions that has to be answered when considering the methods used to create the site is the location of the raw materials used to create the warriors and horses.  Zhao Weijuan (2002) and his co-authors conducted studies of the clay used in the pottery.  They found that it did not match the loess characteristics of the plain but most closely matched the clays found on and around Mount Li.  This is an interesting finding when coupled with the pollen data that places the kilns that produced the horses within the Xi'an area and the soldiers as having been fabricated further afield.  </font>
