If you have been paying attention as we walked through the market, you saw quite a few middle-aged men shopping.  This is due to the holiday.  Men do help with the shopping, but usually you see them in the evening market.  They take their eveniong walk with their family and stop by the market on the way home.  Because of the holiday they have time in the morning and their wives are at home cleaning and beginning the preparations for cooking.  Some people will cook for several days to prepare.  In most of my friends' families, the men will also cook - and help with cutting vegetables, and do most things around the house, but they don't generally go to morning market.</font></td>
