- It is traditional Chinese courtesy to accompany travelers on part of their journey as a form of farewell. <br>
- Dai Jin came from Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. He originated a style called the Zhejiang school. </font><br>
- <font size="-1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">He is noted for his landscapes and figures, both painted with quick heavy strokes. <br>
- The shadow across the top is caused by a plastic holder.<br>
- The painting dates from the Ming period. </font></p>
