The Six Shooter is a story of the the old west.  Britt Ponset is one of those people who are always looking for the next town and the next job.  He manages to find people who are in trouble and lend a hand and then move on.

Illustrations from each page will help you begin to recognize non-standard English usage.  Frontier people had little education and few books.  They spoke a subdialect of English.
