Plan — next steps (from v0.46.0)
Status: three-language IDE complete through v0.46.0 (Modula-2 reference
- Pascal/Oberon parity — see
PARITY.md). Language plugin
distributables fresh at 0.1.6 (Pascal, Oberon) / 0.1.5 (Modula-2,
unchanged); tutorial trilingual with verified examples. All tags
local (user pushes to origin themselves).
Done since the last plan
- v0.32–v0.44: Electron fixes; Coco/R validator pilots for all
Pascal/Oberon dialects (0 FP/0 miss vs oracles); LSP wiring with
degenerate-generation guard; plugin split per language.
- v0.45.0: Pascal native extensions (compiler with fpc+Blaise
backends, debug, workbench);
oberon-compiler/oberon-debug/
oberon-workbench (voc+ulmo, GDB, theming).
- v0.46.0: Pascal/Oberon LSP parity (definition, references, rename,
formatting, semantic tokens, diagnostics, settings, snippets,
schemas);
pascal-project/oberon-project wizards + explorers;
TextMate grammars; PARITY.md. Porting fixes: parser body-skip
loop, O(n²) lexer, dotted type names.
- Post-release: plugins 0.1.6, trilingual
TUTORIAL.md,
hello-pascal/hello-oberon examples (both build-verified),
fixed invalid examples/hello/.vscode/launch.json.
Next, in priority order
- GUI proof — screenshot check of diagnostics squiggles and
Project explorers in a running instance (automation blocked before
on quick-open flakiness; needs a manual file open).
- Push commits + tags to
origin (all local so far, through
v0.46.0) — user action.
- Coco/R differential — differential testing of the Coco/R
grammar path against
gm2 (long-standing item).
Also pending (undecided)
- Publish vsix packages (needs user credentials).
- Clean superseded artifacts from
apps/electron/dist/.
